Hiking in Kavouri and Laimos in Vouliagmeni
The pedestrian walkway of Kavouri
In Vouliagmeni there are places where you can walk undisturbed and enjoy nature. So let me show you pictures and describe them.
I begin with the pedestrian walkway that connects Mikro and Megalo Kavouri. A pleasant walk where you can enjoy the sea breeze and the view, while there are also some benches, it continues at Kavouri beach. It is ideal for walking or jogging. The best times to walk are in the morning or in the afternoon when you can also see the sunset.
Laimos
The second point is at the end of Laimos, after Vouliagmeni beach and Asteras Hotel. From spring it becomes a hangout visited by groups of youngsters with their cars. It is not a long trail but a rocky peninsula with many small trails branching off from each other. The best time is in the afternoon for sunset. The view is the Saronic Gulf and the islet of Fleves while at the end of the road you can see the bay and the Lake of Vouliagmeni in the distance. You can sit wherever you find and enjoy the view of the sea.
Do not go to the abandoned building below because it is usually inhabited by homeless people and you may disturb them. But you can go to its roof.
