How to get to Xiropigado - Astros - Tyros - Leonidio

To reach coastal Arcadia, on the National Highway Corinth - Tripoli follow the exit for Nafplio. Pay attention because you are not heading to Nafplio but to Argos, so from here on follow the signs for Argos and not for Nafplio.
As soon as you reach Argos, exit the city and continue south (via Inachou Street and then the ring street). From here on follow the signs for Tripoli or Astros.
As soon as you reach the village Myloi, continue for about 1 km until you encounter the left turn for Kiveri - Astros - Leonidio - Xiropigado.
The first village you come across is Kiveri and after 8 km Xiropigado. After Xiropigado only a few km is the left turn for Paralio Astros.
For Mesogeio Astros, Tyros, Leonidio continue straight. As soon as you cross Mesogeio Astros, the villages of Meligou, Koutroufa and further down Korakovouni and Agios Andreas follow.

In Agios Andreas is the right turn for the villages of Parnonas Kastanitsa, Prastos, Sitaina, Platanos .
Continuing along the coast the speeds drop even more because the turns are steep but also with many coves to admire. The seaside village with the church at the top is Arkadiko.
The road at Arkadiko
The distance between Astros and Tyros is 30 minutes and requires a lot of attention because the turns are unpredictable. After Tyros follow the villages Pera Melana - Pramatefti - Sambatiki and you reach Leonidio in 20 minutes.
Reaching Tyros
For the beach of Leonidio Plaka, you have to enter Leonidio and cross the bridge over the Dafnonas stream, there is a sign that warns.
Reaching Leonidio
A few minutes after Plaka is Poulithra where the beach road ends.
From Leonidio you can go to the mountain village of Kosmas and from there to Laconia prefecture or to the remote beach of Fokiano. For all destinations there is a sign in Leonidio.
