In order to purchase a ticket from the vending machines select "Buy Travel Product". Ticket prices are:

The Athens Area ticket is used on Metro, Tram and city buses. The 90 minutes can be used as many times as you want within a 90 minute period, as long as you validate it on each medium you enter. It is still valid until you disembark even if the 90 minutes have passed. "Trips" refer to ticket packages that you buy at better prices.

The options "Card Info" and "Top Up" are for Athena Card. Vending machines accept coins, banknotes and bank cards. Foreign bank cards may not be accepted so it's better to have change.

It starts from Syntagma and goes through Neos Kosmos - Nea Smyrni - Palaio Faliro to Poseidonos Avenue. The section of Poseidonos Avenue starts from the Peace & Friendship Stadium and reaches the Asklipieio Hospital in Voula, so it covers the entire beach front of Athens.
