Getting out to the Flisvos marina - what to do - shops
One of the most favourite places to get out in the southern suburbs and the Athenian Riviera to eat, drink and coffee is located in Paleo Faliro, in a spot where you can enjoy these next to the sea having view the luxury yachts moored in the marina. The best time of day to go is after dusk, I went in the afternoon and it was great anyway.
To eat, the best options are the mexican restaurant Loco Sabor and the fish tavern Nisos, with specialties bream carpaccio and nisos salad. For fast food at Friday's. You will also find shops for crepes and hot dogs, for ice cream at Haagen Dazs and for yogurt at Chill Box.
The best cafes are Boho Sea Life and Estrella while for drinks Cruiser.
Other things to do are:
- Cine Flisvos summer cinema
- Neraida Floating Museum a pretty interesting activity especially for children, which presents the history of the ship, the history of the shipowner Yiannis Latsis as well as the maritime tradition of our country
Neraida
- Battleship Averof (outside the marina) visit the historic warship of the early 20th century
- Alimos beach promenade for walking by the sea that reaches the Alimos marina. Again the best time to go there is at dusk because the sun sets in the sea
You can easily visit the marina even if you have small children. Near the entrance you will find a cafe with toys, while in Flisvos park, exiting the marina towards Alimos, there is a playground. You can of course also visit the Neraida Floating Museum.
How to get there: by Tram, at the Trocadero stop it drops you right at the entrance of the marina. If you go with your vehicle there is a free parking lot, but it is not very big. There is also paid parking. By bus, there is the terminal of the line 550 Paleo Faliro - Kifisia, while the lines which pass from there are 217 Stathmos Dafni - Agios Dimitrios - Piraeus, 126 Paleo Faliro - Stathmos Syngrou Fix, 860 Paleo Faliro - Geniko Kratiko Nikaias - Schisto, A1 Piraeus - Voula, B2 Stathmos Syngrou Fix - Agios Kosmas, B1 Piraeus - Ano Glyfada.
