Arvanitia in Nafplio in the poster of the movie "Before Midnight"
It is not difficult for someone familiar with Nafplio to recognize the Arvanitia promenade, the most pleasant walk of Nafplio, in the movie poster "Before Midnight".
The movie was filmed in various locations in Messinia but the poster was stolen by Arvanitia. This is the coastal route that connects the old town of Nafplio with the beach of Arvanitia and is famous for the immense view of the Argolic Gulf, the sea breeze and the sunset.
Of course the visit requires caution because the entry to the route is prohibited due to frequent landslides in its southern part. Visiting the northern part, from the old town to the lighthouse, i.e. the point of the poster is safe.
The film was released in 2013 starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy.
