A complete list with Glyfada's playgrounds
It is no exaggeration to say that Glyfada has the best playgrounds in Athens, and this is because they are the works of the shipowner Thanasis Martinos, a resident of Glyfada, so that children can play for free and safely. All are built to modern specifications with the best toys, with soft carpet on the ground to avoid injuries.
There are a total of 19 which I divided into categories so you can find the one that suits you:
- 4 large playgrounds
- 2 parks
- 13 neighbourhood playgrounds
I start with the biggest ones, the 4 playgrounds and the 2 parks.
In Terpsithea
- Karaiskaki square: the largest playground in the municipality. With cable car, castle, swings and other toys as well as picnic tables.
The playground in Karaiskaki square
- Aghios Pavlos square: with cable car, castle, swings, little houses with stairs and slides.

- Dinos Methenitis square (Vasilissis Olgas street): toys and plenty of space for bicycles and a cafe with wi-fi. The floor is paved.
In Ano Glyfada
- Aghia Triada square: with cable car, houses with stairs, swings and other toys.
Glyfada center
- Chariton square: a large playground with plenty of toys and space for skating, there is a cafe with wi-fi too. Here there is no soft carpet on the floor but soil.
In Glyfada
- Evryali Park (Eleftheriou Venizelou street): as the name suggests this is a park. With trails, greenery and space for soccer, at Gaia cafe you can also enjoy your coffee with wi-fi. The floor is mostly grass.

The neighbourhood playgrounds are following.
Glyfada center
- Kyprou street (behind the natatorium): I go to this playground with my kids when we go out in Glyfada center. Although small it has enough toys where children can play for a long time.
- Hesperidon square: a central one but with fewer games than the previous one.
In Glyfada
- Yiannis Ritsos square (Inois and Zamanou): with lots of toys, trees and benches.
- Xenophontos square (Zeppou street)
In Ano Glyfada
- Papandreou street (at the cemetery)
- Kefallinias and Peloponnesou (behind Methenitis square)
- Sofias Vembo & Palmyras
- Odos Hefaistou (behind the Glyfada Tax Office)
- Gounari and Asklepiou
- Aristippou and Epaminonda
